Michael A. Matranga is the CEO and Owner of M6 Global Defense, a Security Consulting firm specializing in a holistic solution for its clients. M6 Global Defense services range in specialized security consulting in the K12, Industrial, Corporate, Petrochemical, Medical, Behavioral Health and Sporting Event fields. Mr. Matranga is a former United States Secret Service Agent, serving on the Special Operations Division, Presidential Counter Assault Team and Presidential Protective Division. His scope of work with the United States Secret Service includes serving under every living President, Vice President, their families and over 40 heads of state, traveling to 33 countries, 6 continents & 3 war zones.

After Leaving the United States Secret Service in 2016, Mr. Matranga went on to work as a Special Agent with the Department of Interior in Las Vegas, NV. While working with the Department of Interior he oversaw the Security Operations and Planning of the infamous Bundy Ranch Trial, protecting over 80 government witnesses in collaboration with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Las Vegas Regional Intelligence Center. During his time in Las Vegas, he had a role assisting victim’s families in locating their loved ones during the Harvest 91 Music Festival mass shooting.

In May 2018, the Texas town of Santa Fe, suffered from a mass shooting attack leaving 17 students wounded and 10 victims deceased. Three days later Matranga was contacted and offered a job as the Executive Director of Security by a pioneer in the K12 Security Industry, Dr, Rodney Cavness, retired Superintendent of Texas City Independent Schools in Texas City, TX. From 2018-June 2020, Matranga took a nonexistent program to ranked #1 in Texas and #5 in the nation by Security 500. Matranga and his team have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, WIRED Magazine, Security Magazine and many other national publications.
