League City Police Dept - Retail Business Crime Awareness & Reduction

Description

The League City Police Dept, with support from League City Regional Chamber of Commerce and City of League City Economic Development have recently created a Specialized Unit focused on reducing property crimes affecting retail businesses along the Gulf Freeway corridor. This Proactive Team of Officers, known as the Business District Unit (B.D.U.), will be dedicated to crime prevention and community engagement within these high-traffic commercial zones. This important community training and orientation event, hosted by the League City Chamber at College of the Mainland, League City, seeks Chamber of Commerce members and other League City businesses to attend and learn more about this specialized program and how they can be involved and be positively impacted by their involvement, so their businesses will become more safe and reduce their losses.

Time

The training and orientation will begin promptly at 8:45am and end at 10am on Thurs, Sept 11th. There will be breakfast refreshments and coffee available starting at 8:30am.

College of the Mainland League City, located at the corner of Main Street and Wesley Street. Enter the parking lot on the Wesley street side.
