Come support women owned businesses at the Women’s Market!

League City is home to a number of phenomenal businesses, but what may surprise some is just how many are women owned. Soon, you will have the opportunity to experience the amazing women owned businesses the League City region has to offer!

The League City Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its Women’s Market on March 31 at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center. The event will feature an array of vendors showcasing the women-owned businesses in the League City region.

“Why should people attend the market?” asked Executive Director of BayTran Amy Skicki. “To give women a place to shop from women owned businesses all under one roof, for one evening! Get your girlfriends together and come out shopping. There will be a spring fashion show as part of the event and attendees will have the chance to win a brand name purse filled with products women love.”

Skicki is one of many phenomenal women working to ensure this event is one for the books and is exciting for all the vendors and attendees the event shall bring.

“The most exciting part of this event will be the full experience!” Skicki says. “We will have a DJ, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres AND a live fashion show that will showcase fashions from our local women owned boutiques!! So FUN!!!!”

As Skicki and our CEO & President Dewan Clayborn note, what makes this event unique from other events is that vendors are encouraged to sell products at this event! This event is the time for female business owners to not only tell the town about their business but even make a phenomenal profit off of it!

“Why be a vendor? You can sell products and collect leads at this event,” Skicki says. “In fact, we encourage small women owned businesses with products and services for women to sell at this event. The purpose is to raise awareness of and drive commerce to women owned businesses and give a fun Ladies Night Out under one roof!”

As the end of March nears, your chamber encourages you to get ready for the Women’s Market!

“As Women’s History Month comes to an end, we are thrilled to showcase the amazing businesses run by our city’s phenomenal business women,” said CEO & President Dewan Clayborn. “Come out and support our local women-owned businesses!”
