COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Texas Artisan decorates League City with creativity and passion
Your League City Regional Chamber of Commerce is home to a number of phenomenal businesses, each with a passion that fuels their work. For Terri Ward, creativity is the flame behind one of League City’s most prosperous decorative entities.
“Texas Artisan is a one of a kind gift and home décor shop specializing in everyone’s favorites along with unique finds,” Ward said. “We also offer original art and interior design consultation.”
Ward is the sole owner of Texas Artisan, having sported a passion for decorating since childhood.
“I am the buyer, merchandiser, design consultant and everything in between,” Ward said. “I’ve been decorating for years and have had several other very successful stores over a period of 27 years. Texas Artisan is my dream store. I always wanted a shop full of unique and fabulous selections and I think Texas Artisan hits the mark. I love being loved by the League City community, along with those from the greater Bay Area.”
Despite Texas Artisan not being one of the oldest businesses in League City, Ward has taken great note of its growing popularity.
“TA has been open for over two years and there is not another store like it anywhere around the area,” the business owner said. “It is not unusual to have regular guests in the store from as far away as Sugarland, Baytown, Memorial in Houston, etc. We also have trunk shows for Dian Malouf, a fabulous sterling silver designer, which is a crowd favorite.”
While decor and crafts are the passion that fuels Terri’s business, it is clear to the passionate owner what is truly the best part about running Texas Artisan.
“My favorite thing about being at Texas Artisan is without a doubt the people,” Ward said. “It’s been such a pleasure and a blessing to get to know our neighbors and members of our ever growing community. I decided to join the League City Chamber so that I could be in touch with the heart of our business community and to hopefully learn how Texas Artisan could contribute to that community.”
Of course, every good business needs a good partner in the community! Ward spoke on the importance of joining one’s local chamber of commerce.
“Membership in the League City Chamber is vital to staying up to date with the business heartbeat of League City and is a great way to reach the citizens of League City,” Ward said. “League City for so long was a bit of a hidden gem that now is experiencing tremendous growth and opportunity. Connecting with the local Chamber is one of the best ways to keep abreast of development, opportunity and community needs.”
As the year nears its end, Terri is excited for the continued success of Texas Artisan and the joy League City and its surrounding regions shall continue to bring.
“Please come shop at Texas Artisan,” Ward said. “It’s truly a gem of a store with a huge selection of gifts and home décor. We have a very diverse inventory including coastal décor, art, fashion jewelry, candles, aromatherapy, bath and body, men’s gifts, Myra bags, pottery and so much more.”
