League City Chamber’s Legal Counsel wins prestigious award!

League City Chamber’s Legal Counsel wins prestigious award!

At your League City Regional Chamber of Commerce, we are dedicated to achieving our mission and vision with integrity, transparency and professionalism. Your chamber would not be able to accomplish such without the legal counsel of Duana Boswell-Loechel of Boswell Law Firm

The League City Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Legal Counsel Duana Boswell-Loechel has been named one of the 2020 Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel (NADC). The organization is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of legal excellence and recognizing attorneys who elevate the standards of the Bar and provide a benchmark for other lawyers to emulate.

Boswell-Loechel described receiving the award as “rewarding.”

“It’s really nice to be recognized for doing such a good job,” she said. “It’s nice to see someone recognize me for the work I’m doing.”

Boswell-Loechel became a licensed lawyer in 2004. The award winning lawyer became the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Legal Counsel in 2020 after being approached by your chamber President and CEO Dewan Clayborn about becoming the chamber’s new legal counsel.

“During this time the chamber was going through a transitionary period, and I wanted to make sure everything was done with the highest transparency and integrity,” Clayborn said. “So to keep myself and my board members accountable, I decided it best we have a legal counsel.”

Clayborn became acquainted with Duana and saw her as a worthy fit for the position.

“She joined the chamber during this time and after learning her credentials I felt she was a good fit to assume the role of our legal counsel,” Clayborn said. “I presented this to our board of directors and after discussing the matter, we chose her as our official legal counsel.”

Boswell-Loechel, a League City resident, cited her love of League City as her reason for accepting Clayborn’s offer.

“I knew [The League City Regional Chamber] has a good reputation,” she said. “I saw it as an opportunity to get further involved with the League City community.”

Boswell-Loechel spoke on the benefits of working with the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce.

“I enjoy being part of the growth and helping ensure integrity in the chamber’s practices,” she said. “Whether it be resolving disputes between members or other matters, and in general just ensuring the chamber’s growth.”

The distinguished law practitioner said she loves her profession because it allows her to help people.

“I love to help people and be the peace in their chaos, and that goes for businesses as well,” she said. “It’s really all about helping people.”
