League City Regional Chamber Prepares for Taste of the Bay Oktoberfest!

To live in Galveston County means being surrounded by an array of fantastic restaurants, with foods and drinks to satisfy everyone!

Every year, your League City Regional Chamber of Commerce host the widely anticipated Taste of the Bay. This year’s theme is Oktoberfest and this sweet and savory event brings together our region’s best foods and drinks. Taste of the Bay will satisfy one’s hunger and quench one’s thirst, giving attendees a true TASTE of the Bay Area.

The League City Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the Taste of the Bay on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the South Shore Harbor Resort & Conference Center. The event is meant to highlight the diverse food and beverage businesses within the Bay Area. From restaurants to breweries, Taste of the Bay is the chance to see all your chamber has to offer.

“Taste of the Bay is a great opportunity for the community to come together to experience the amazing talent of local chefs, restaurants and vendors of the Bay Area,” said Cheryl Bertrand, Director of Marketing at Next Level Urgent Care, and title sponsor of the event. “The best part about Taste of the Bay is the chance to experience new restaurants and network with others in the community.”

Chamber CEO and President Dewan Clayborn has similar thoughts and is ready for the long anticipated event.

“I invite the community to attend this event as it is a great way to support local businesses after a devastating pandemic year,” Clayborn said. “Taste of the Bay is the perfect chance to get a taste of our diverse region.”

Taste of the Bay has drawn between 100 and 150 visitors in the past, but Clayborn is sure the event will be even bigger this year.

“We’re expecting 200+ attendees,” Clayborn said. “We’ve sold out all 50 booths, and that includes about 35 high-end restaurants. The others are (going to have) wine, beer and diverse spirits.”

This year’s Taste of the Bay will be sponsored by an array of businesses, with the Title Sponsor being Next Level Urgent Care.

“Next Level Urgent Care is new to the League City Area and we are so excited to participate and support the League City Chamber and all the businesses that are participating in the event,” Bertrand said. “We are excited to share with the community what Next Level Urgent Care has to offer the community and taste great food!”

Taste of the Bay is also sponsored by the City of League City, something Communications Director Sarah Osborne is extremely excited about.

“League City is super excited to be sponsoring Taste of the Bay,” Osborne said. “Our community is a foodie’s paradise and this event provides a great opportunity not only for locals to discover some new places to dine, but for visitors to experience some of the unique, culinary delights League City and Bay Area Houston has to offer. From fine dining to bistros and food trucks, this event will have it all. Plus we can’t forget about the beverages! Our local breweries, wineries, and drink hot spots will be serving up their best libations for attendees to enjoy.”

Other sponsors include Del Papa Distributing, Community Health Network, Shell Federal Credit Union, Brockway Realty LLC, INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, Mike’s Pest Control, Maggiano’s and BB’s Tex-Orleans.
