About the Grand Parkway State Highway 99

The Grand Parkway is an 180-mile loop connecting seven counties across Greater Houston. First envisioned in the 1960s, eight segments are already open, with more underway. Segment B, the focus of this meeting, is a 28-mile, four-lane tollway extending from I-45 in League City toward SH 35 in Alvin and SH 288 near Rosharon, through Galveston and Brazoria Counties. The project will ease congestion, improve mobility, and enhance hurricane evacuation routes, while stimulating local commerce and development opportunities. SH 99 Segment B-1 will focus on the first 14 miles from I-45 in League City to FM 2403 in Alvin.
