About Us

TNMP is an electricity transmission and distribution service provider: We provide electricity to more than 260,000 homes and businesses throughout Texas. Our headquarters is in Lewisville, with about 400 employees in more than 20 communities throughout the state.
We are a subsidiary of PNM Resources Inc. and our formal name is Texas-New Mexico Power Co., but we now serve only Texas.

We deliver electricity that customers purchase through the Texas Electric Choice program. The customers' selected retail service provider manages billing. We handle the construction and maintenance of the poles and wires and are locally based which ensures prompt response to power outages. We also provide accurate, timely meter readings and transmit them to retail providers for billing purposes. We handle service connections and re-connections as requested by the customers chosen retail provider as well.
